Jurnal Penelitian | JURNAL MATEMATIKA DEVELOPING MATHEMATICS VIRTUAL LEARNING MEDIA USING REALISTIC APPROACH ON TRANSFORMATION SUBJECT FOR SEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL | Indonesian Government Regulation Number 32 of 2013 article 19 states that the process of learning in education units is to implement an interactive, inspiring, fun, challenging, motivating the students to actively participate and provide enough space for innovation, creativity, and independence in accordance with flair , interests, and physical and psychological development of students.

According to the Government Regulation, teacher as a facilitator should be able to create an appropriate learning atmosphere. One of the steps can be taken to create such atmosphere is by creating or conducting learning sources supporting teaching learning process. The learning sources may include speakers, books, non-book media, technique and environment.

One of the non-book learning media sources is learning medium. Learning medium is developed to simplify and expedite learning process. The learning medium utilize virtual space and that its presentation made in such way to duplicate a real object is referred to as a virtual learning medium. Virtual media can make learning process becomes more effective for it presents material with illustration of a real object, so that students can understand the material better.
